Wednesday of Holy Week
“During the day, Jesus was teaching in the temple area, but at night he would leave and stay at the place called the Mount of Olives.” Luke 21:37Jesus always took time to pray. Jesus took time with his Father. His ability to fulfill his mission came from that constant connection. It prepared him for the turn of events to come. You can tell that Pope Francis is also a man of prayer. Seeing the gentleness of Pope Francis and the determination of pointing everyone in the direction of “right relationship” with God, I can understand more how Jesus made people nervous and angry when he strayed from the more worldly path of relying on ourselves instead of our Creator. I am not suggesting that Francis is Jesus, but merely how different people react when someone calls us to be more in tune with God’s will. God put us in this world to rub up against each other, it is uncomfortable and it is necessary. But when we take time to pray it is easier to do. When we can carry Christ’s love and mercy to others we help wrap the world in the Creators love. Just something to consider this Wednesday of Holy Week.
