We Belong to God!
“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all you lands;
worship the Lord with cries of gladness;
come before him with joyful song.
Know that the Lord is God
our maker to whom we belong,
whose people we are, God’s well tended flock.
Enter the temple gates with praise,
its courts with thanksgiving.
Give thanks to God, bless his name;
good indeed is the Lord,
Whose love endures forever,
whose faithfulness lasts through every age.

Today is a day to shout joyfully to the Lord. Today is a day to enter the temple gates in thanksgiving for we are a loved people of a faithful God and what a wonderful gift that is! Imagine if you did not have the inner knowing that you belong to God, where you would be? Today I rejoice in God, my savior! I give thanks and I bless his name. Today, when someone talks to me I want them to wonder “why is she so happy?” I will happily answer, “because I belong to God.”
Perhaps I will remind them that they do too.
