RIP Fr. Martin Boler
I decided to go over to Mt Saviours website as I often do just to check in. So sad to see that another extraordinary person is gone from this world. But I know where he is, he is sitting at the banquet enjoying his reward and it was time. He is getting all of his answers. Fr. Martin was the prior of Mt. Saviour almost the entire time I have been going there. His desire to bring the gospel to today’s world was evident and infectious. Oftentimes, after listening to him speak, we would shake our heads because he would address whatever it was that we were looking for. It was as if the Holy Spirit just channelled through him and to us. What a gift. And he made us laugh. He had an easiness about his holiness that made him stand out. His life story is remarkable.Today I give thanks for his life and to God for letting me sit and watch and learn so much from such a person. I give thanks to God for what the monastery has been to me and I am humbled when I think of how blessed I am to have it’s refuge.
