To LOYNO With Love Part I

I admit, I was pretty anxious heading to New Orleans all alone.  I told anyone who would listen how I didn’t like the idea of going to the Big Easy all by myself!  One thought after another came, what if, what if, what if??  But I had to go since it was a training and…

Nuns On The Bus Tour

http://video.msnbc.msn.com/the-last-word/47884211#47884211I may be bombarding you a little in the next couple of days.  I am heading on a trip to prepare me for a new ministry (started another unrelated one this week too!) and am going to a training workshop (all alone!) to New Orleans!  I am tentatively excited!  But will really be happy when…

St. Joseph of Cupertino

I am feeling a little dumb today.  My 12 year old is taking her Latin final tomorrow (pray for her!) and has really struggled this final quarter after an otherwise very good year.  She is a bit of a shambles.  My 14 year old took her Spanish regents (a test in NY State that you…

Happy Father’s Day

St. Joseph is an emblem of earthly fatherhood. I am eternally grateful to have a husband with the heart of St. Joseph.  Good day to revisit the video that best describes the value of that kind of paternal love. If you are a father, grandfather, godfather, father figure, uncle, loving brother or religious, please accept…

Warning! You May Not Like This…

Here is an article from the America blog about a new book “Flying In the Face of Tradition” by Brother Louis DeThomasis, FSC, that discusses what we have discussed here many times; the need for a sort of death in order to bring new life to our imploding institutional church.   If you are one to not keep up…

Unholy Obedience??

Amen, amen, amen and amen!!  Enough whining and complaining!  Time to move forward and call it what it is.  Reclaim the mission…be church!  Show the world what we are really about, which is, in case we have forgotton, living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.http://www.uscatholic.org/blog/2012/06/forget-frustration-and-fortnight-im-going-road-trip-nuns

Need a Prayer/Say a Prayer

We pray for all of those who are in the path of climate destruction. Especially the innocent who have no power in effecting change.

We pray for our world, for those who flee war and injustice, for those who cause it and for our children.

For those who are exposed or suffering from the Coronavirus/RSV and Flu

For healthcare workers and those who put themselves in the service of others.

For an end to racism and anti-Semitism.

For Mark

For the people of Ukraine.

For an immediate end to gun violence.

For our children, that they can have confidence int the adults charged with their care.

For those suffering in the Middle East.

For healing for Anita.

In gratitude for Juliana.

For all of those who ask us to pray for them.

Hello!

Annette

Annette

Easily distracted middle-ager. Wife, mother, sister, friend...some days I do those better than others. Forever frustrating my children because I don't stay still for pictures. Catholic until they kick me out. Hoping for peace. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Be bold.
