You Are Seen

God heals the brokenhearted, and binds up all their wounds; God counts out the number of the stars, and calls each one by its name. Psalm 147: 5-7 Last night I had a dream that a lifelong friends’ younger sister sent her little seven year old boy to hug me, I was surprised when I…

In The Honeysuckle

My youngest turned 19…marking the beginning of my last year as a mother of a teenager. It’s so funny to think how quickly it flies. When I was pregnant with her, I had her sisters praying that “the baby would come when the lilacs are in bloom.” Lilacs were my favorite and as a little…

Make Their Lives Matter

In case you missed it, please take some time to watch this and insist on change and action. Help their families know that their children’s deaths and lives matter.

Just So We Are Clear

As I sit here, there are fifteen people dead from another mass shooting, this time at an elementary school. This on the heels of the mass shooting in Buffalo at a Tops Supermarket. In the backdrop is a Bishop grifting to raise money while denying Nancy Pelosi the Eucharist because she is fighting for the…

“IT’S ALL About You”

Well there is something to think about this Lent. Is what I’m doing for Lent just about me or is it about my relationship with God? Am I looking to benefit in some way other than becoming more of the person God is calling me to be? What are my motives for my Lenten commitment?…

Ash Wednesday

It feels as though in some ways we have been reliving and reliving that old Lenten feeling. Sure, we have had periodic reprieves where we are able to come up for air, bask in the sun and feel a little careless, but those days seem far too fleeting. Many of us have done our best…

It’s All Grace

I was given this beautiful song in a very timely manner and am compelled to share it with you. I thought today would be a good day to feel beloved. So as the harsh winds blow and the bitter temps take hold in Central New York, may you feel the deep warmth of His eternal…

Communion of Saints

In November, I try to focus the kids in the program on our belief in the Communion of Saints. My hope is that as time goes on, they can access the gift of faith through this particular teaching. My hope is that it can bring them some solace when losses in their own lives happen….

Ocean Rocks

Rocks. I have been obsessed with them in one way or another since the beginning of the pandemic. I am not sure why, suddenly, I am in love with rocks. Well, suddenly isn’t accurate. There was that geology class in college and there is a need to connect with random rocks that began at the…

Need a Prayer/Say a Prayer

We pray for all of those who are in the path of climate destruction. Especially the innocent who have no power in effecting change.

We pray for our world, for those who flee war and injustice, for those who cause it and for our children.

For those who are exposed or suffering from the Coronavirus/RSV and Flu

For healthcare workers and those who put themselves in the service of others.

For an end to racism and anti-Semitism.

For Mark

For the people of Ukraine.

For an immediate end to gun violence.

For our children, that they can have confidence int the adults charged with their care.

For those suffering in the Middle East.

For healing for Anita.

In gratitude for Juliana.

For all of those who ask us to pray for them.

Hello!

Annette

Annette

Easily distracted middle-ager. Wife, mother, sister, friend...some days I do those better than others. Forever frustrating my children because I don't stay still for pictures. Catholic until they kick me out. Hoping for peace. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Be bold.
