Love Can Not Be Silenced
I dedicate this to our very own Sr. Joan who we said goodbye to today. My daughter was in her class this year for seventh grade religion and learned so much and adored her. I am sorry to see her go. She ran the food pantry, the Vacation Bible School program and several other outreach programs that I just am too forgetful to remember. Our priest told a story about a man who was waiting for him after mass, he was there with two small children and as he started talking to him, Sr. Joan walked over and told Fr. that she knew the man, that his house had burned down the night before and she had things all taken care of for him already. Our priest didn’t have to do a thing…but our parish supported this person in need through Sr. Joan’s effort. It is that example that sticks with me when I watch this video. But that is one of countless other acts of goodness that these women who devote their life to God do. She leaves Thursday to go to a new home. She goes with the Spirit and with the knowledge of our deep appreciation and regard for her. Godspeed Sr. Joan, you will be missed!
Thanks, Annette! Wonderful song. Sorry about Sr Joan leaving!
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I wept at the solidarity of God’s people – truly the Holy Spirit is at work.
