Happy Thanksgiving!

Faith, Religion, Spirituality, Catholic Blog

Psalm 118  1-9/ 28-29

Hymn of Thanksgiving
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2 Let Israel say:

“His love endures forever.” 3 Let the house of Aaron say: “His love endures forever.” 4 Let those who fear the LORD say:“His love endures forever.”

5 When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD;

he brought me into a spacious place. 6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.What can mere mortals do to me? 7 The LORD is with me; he is my helper.I look in triumph on my enemies.

8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD

than to trust in humans. 9 It is better to take refuge in the LORDthan to trust in princes.
28 You are my God, and I will praise you;

you are my God, and I will exalt you.
29 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;

his love endures forever.

Let us give thanks to the Lord who calls us to him every moment of every day.  Let us give thanks by wearing the garment of humility, kindness, compassion and love.  May God bless you and yours on this Thanksgiving day.  May God bless each of us with growth in the Spirit that we may better serve him.

Challenges Ahead

So what about those roads that are bumpy and hard to travel? The past several days have brought people who have said things that have shaken my confidence.  It has made me wonder if I have chosen the right path after all. Several years ago when we were at Yosemite I remember my husband driving…

Boilermaker 2015- A Cheerleaders View

Forgotten Blog and Summer Life

My poor little blog has been ignored for some time now. It makes me a little sad to think how much I am not writing on it. I have stopped writing altogether in an attempt to weed something out of my “must do” mindset.  In reality, I only enjoy doing the blog…it isn’t  a must…

Building Bridges

So Saturday I had the opportunity to present a workshop at a conference in our diocese.  What a great opportunity to truly glimpse God!  So many people, all working toward the same end.  All putting their energies into being the hands and feet of Christ here and now.  In addition, I was able to sit…

There’s More!

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,for they will be satisfied” Matthew 5:5-6But wait! There’s more! Jesus promised more! I couldn’t walk away, because there is a sermon going on. Blessed are the meek…who are the meek? Are the meek the ones who are…
