Building Bridges
So Saturday I had the opportunity to present a workshop at a conference in our diocese. What a great opportunity to truly glimpse God! So many people, all working toward the same end. All putting their energies into being the hands and feet of Christ here and now. In addition, I was able to sit in on a couple of speakers and that too was fulfilling! The Keynote Speaker, John Roberto www.lifelongfaith.com presented about what many of us have been talking about for a while. How to bring the formation of faith into the 21st century. He was passionate, dynamic and well versed in not only the problems that many parishes face but also the solutions and opportunities that are ahead of us as the church, the Body of Christ. I felt like I was part of the Body on Saturday! You may wonder, “don’t you usually feel part of the Body of Christ”…well no. Sadly enough, I don’t. I usually feel like I am trying to defend my church or my parish for the choices that they are making, for their inaction as much as their actions. But there, I felt the collective spirit of goodness which makes me think how much I am looking forward to the next conference!! March is getting closer! So, I know I promised some links from this blog, and I will deliver. It has been a hectic week in the rest of my world so bear with me and check back. The book blogs will be updated soon too so please stop by there!
