Birthday

I have a good life.  Even when there are trials I can see God working through the people in it.  Perhaps that is the point of the this blog, to express my gratitude openly.  So I am going to do that for just a moment today.Yesterday was my 45th birthday.  The love and attention I received from people who have meant something to me in my life was so wonderful and uplifting.  Having those who are immediate to my happiness be present is another gift for which I am grateful.  So, my prayer is a humble one of gratitude and thanksgiving for this life, for my body that works well, for my family and friends.  I am grateful that I have almost always felt God’s presence and have been unafraid to trust it for the most part.  (That is one of the best gifts of age, being able to see where you have been with God!).  I ask for many more years, as there is still so much work to do.  Thanks be to God.
