And So It Begins
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
Our story as Christians is just beginning. We are once again being commissioned to do as Jesus commanded. How will we live out our discipleship? Which commands will we follow and which will we dismiss? Jesus tells us to observe all. Wow! That is hard. But our willingness to try goes a long way. We are never alone, Jesus is with us until the end of the age.
Today Lord, I try not to forget all that I learned about myself and my relationship to you through this past Lenten season. I remember that I am commissioned and that I can baptize people in the love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It needn’t only be with holy water.
