This is the conversation we need to be having together. Do I think it is too big to fail? I think the faith…what we believe, the truth of our experience is too big to fail.Congratulations to my fb friend Roberta who took part in this discussion. If they are enlisting a mind like hers…we are all good.
Wife, mother, blogger, Catholic ministry. I love to garden even when it goes wrong. Same with writing (and we know it can go wrong.) Believing that God is present in all of it.

This a very interesting article that addresses several issues that face our church today but I am drawn to it not for the issues as much as for the image of God that it conjers up. Please let me know your thoughts. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/27/opinion/27kristof.html

Very worthwhile conversation. Thanks for sharing the link. I think that the institutional RCC is at a challenging time in history but I believe that the people who are really the church know that we need to serve others in order to follow the teachings of Jesus. As one of the speakers advocated, the RCC only needs to communicate what the people are doing and that would be the best PR they would ever imagine.
I agree Lynda, our witness is the best message.
